This is the burner box component for Sterling RSS/RSU series low-intensity infrared tube heaters. It provides a 150,000 BTU/hr input using natural gas and operates on 120V single-phase power. Designed as a push-through (positive pressure) system, this unit is intended for installations at elevations between 0 and 1,999 feet. Please note: this product is the burner box only; the corresponding tube and reflector kit must be selected separately based on application requirements.The burner box features a heavy-duty cast iron burner and a reliable direct spark ignition system with 100% gas shut-off for safety. It includes pre-purge and post-purge functions, a slow-opening gas valve for quiet ignition, and a diaphragm air switch for proof of venting. The blower motor is fully enclosed within the burner box for quiet operation (rated below 50 dB) and uses permanently lubricated ball bearings for maintenance-free performance. Diagnostic monitoring lights and a burner inspection sight glass aid in troubleshooting.
