This pack includes two Novent tamper-resistant locking caps designed specifically for R-410A refrigerant systems. They securely seal standard 1/4" Schrader service valves found on central air conditioning units and mini-splits, helping to prevent refrigerant leaks, accidental mixing, and unauthorized access. The caps are precision-machined from high-grade brass with a protective, corrosion-resistant pink anodized aluminum shroud for easy identification.Installation requires a special Novent key (sold separately) to ensure tamper resistance and meet IRC and IMC code requirements for outdoor access ports. These caps feature an integral neoprene O-ring that resists oils and sealants for a durable seal, and a built-in torque limiter prevents over-tightening during installation, protecting valve threads.
