The FAST-STAT Model 5000 provides three additional control wires and a common connection 'C' between a thermostat and the indoor HVAC unit. This allows technicians to achieve 6-wire control (such as R, C, G, Y, W1, W2) using only an existing 2-wire cable, or 8-wire control using a 4-wire cable.This wiring extender is ideal for adding air conditioning, heat pumps, or multi-stage heating/cooling without the cost and effort of pulling new thermostat wire. It is compatible with most standard 24VAC heating and cooling systems but should not be used to extend wiring between indoor and outdoor units.
